“Liar”! Ogochukwu screamed, startling the cute guy sitting beside her.
“Are you okay”? he asked, genuinely worried for two reasons. One, she could be displaying onset madness, in which case, he was in danger and two she was heavily pregnant and it could be affecting her.
Ogochukwu ignored his question and continued with her reverie, albeit a bit quieter. No more sudden outburst. She had a lot on her mind and it was impossible for her not to think out loud, considering.

Kene was worried and kept looking at the beautiful lady sitting next to him. He had never seen anyone more beautiful in all his life. Earlier, he had spotted her come into the park. Even though it was still dark, he could tell she was light skinned in complexion, pointed nose, thick black hair. Even without make up, she could take on any beauty queen. I'm sure she is married, considering her state, he thought. Her husband must be a very lucky man but where was he? Why was he not travelling with her?
At that point, he decided that he had to get to know this girl, even if nothing came out of it.
He had carefully planned how he was going to get this done. First he had to be sure that she was going his way or else he will conclude the deal with her at the park and get her address to send letters.
Fate must have smiled on him because she headed to the same bus he was taking to Lagos and he quickly made his way to stand behind her. Before he got there, there was a bulky guy already there and trying to help her get on the bus. Kene was upset but he was not going to play dead. This was his “woman” and nobody, not even a “yokozuna” will take her away from him.
He would get a seat next to her and take it from there. He was very good at this and has never been turned down by any girl before.
"Excuse me please" he said, panicking
"Oginni, why are you tapping my body"? Yokozuna replied with a very thick Igbo accent.
At this point, Kene didn't have anything else to say because Yokozuna's outlook was very intimidating and so he said the next best thing that came into his head;
"Sorry mistake"
When he got on the bus, Yokozuna was already positioned beside the beautiful Lady at the front of the bus, Was that a smirk he saw on his face? I swear this guy was doing this on purpose and knows that i like this girl. Quietly he walked to the next seat and sat next to this old man who was smelling of snuff and smoke. He already suspected that this trip was not going to be a good one.

Baba Musibau got up that morning from his dingy room to start getting ready for the trip to Eket. He had never been to that part of the country in all his life and was looking forward to it. One of the taxi drivers at the association had given him a thorough direction and he was raring to go. He had heard of "Calabar " girls and if he had to use his current girlfriend, Ekaete as a yardstick, then this trip was going to be worth it. His only concern was that Ekaete had insisted on coming along. He had tried everything to get her to stay back but she was adamant.
"Oka Musi, ju ah koin tu tek me tu Ekid, i cannod lif in dis Lakos if ju nod here and by de way, i wanna ko zsee my mmoda (O
ga Musi, you are going to take me to Eket, i cannot live in this Lagos if you are not here and by the way, i want to go see my mother)" she had said in her thick Calabar accent.
In the end he had to take her.
Sorry "calabar" girls, not this time.
One of his clients had hired him to take some goods to Eket for his daughter's wedding and he was getting a whopping Fifty Thousand Naira, which wasn't a bad deal. Plus he was taking Ekaete along. He had arranged to pick her up at Ibafo, so that his wives and the people she was working for will not suspect anything. He also hoped that Ekaete will give him some early morning "action" before they set out. The girl was good.

Suddenly, the bus became noisy and a woman was shouting from outside the bus. Kene wondered what was going on.
"My husband is on this bus and i want him to come down, otherwise this bus is not going anywhere"
"Madam, we are already late and need to leave now. Who is this husband of yours"? The driver asked.
Everybody on the bus started looking around and wondering who the husband was. Some even started making comments in igbo, asking the culprit to go down.
"Papa Emeka, come down and give me chop money oh. Anytime small money enter your hand, you go carry am go Lagos go chop with all those akuna kuna. Come down oh"
This went on for about 10 minutes, before Yokozuna finally got down to go meet his wife. He couldn't understand this type of wife. How did she even know where to come find me and what bus i entered. He turned around and looked at the beautiful lady he was sitting next to, she was pregnant but who says he couldn't make his move. Now that stupid small rat was making his way to sit beside her. This stupid woman will always spoil runs for somebody. Anyway, you win some, you lose some.

Ekaete was standing by the road and she looked so beautiful. He had never seen her dress the way she did but he was glad that she was...money well spent on his part. She was wearing tight fitted jeans that hugged her well rounded hips and buttocks and a low cut blouse, that revealed the top of her enormous breast. Despite the fact that they were big, the breasts were still pert and standing like that of a young teenage virgin. He would know, he has been there several times.
Ever since she came to Lagos to work as a house help for one of his neighbours, he knew he had to have her, i mean the girl was always oozing sex every time he saw her. One of his friends' described her as "sex on legs". Boy was he glad when she actually made the first move and the rest they say is history.
"Oka Musi, ju led oh. Sun don commot (
Oga Musi, you are late and the sun is out)" Her accent always amused him.
"Jor tori oloun, no vex my sweetie perempe" He knew how to get her to smile again. "You fine oh
Soon they were on their way.

Kene could not believe his luck, who would have thought that he would be sitting next to this damsel. Boy, was he glad that Yokozuna's wife showed up at the right time.
"Are you okay"? he asked again, looking into her face to be sure she heard him. He saw tears trailing her cheeks and so he brought out his handkerchief and offered it to her.
"No thank you, I'm fine" she replied with the sweetest voice he had ever heard.
"You are not my dear, here let me help" and he went on to wipe the tears off her face without waiting for permission.
"Thank you very much. My name is Ogochukwu"
Score!!! Step one accomplished.
"Kenechukwu is my name" He stretched out his hand.
They got talking and Kene found her very exciting to talk to. Boy was he also glad to learn that she wasn't married . She had thought she was going to be married to this politician that came to her village. Preparations were made and he didn't turn up but not before dropping a note that he was married with children and couldn't go through with the wedding. They talked for hours and the time moved really quickly.
They had just entered Ore when suddenly Ogochukwu who was looking straight ahead started screaming, the bus swerved, other passengers were screaming then he heard a crunching sound (metal on metal).Everything happened in slow motion. A piece of metal flew past his ears and embedded its sharp end in the neck of the passenger behind him...he died instantly. He turned to see if Ogochukwu was fine but she was not sitting next to him any more, the impact of the vehicle had sent her through the wind-shield, she was not wearing a seatbelt. As he made to take off his seatbelt, he saw it coming in slow motion and it was getting bigger. This was it he thought, i will never be a senator and then the heat hit him hard, burning every flesh on his body and then he felt nothing. This world was no longer his abode.

Baba Musibau had just entered Ore and was contemplating whether to stop and buy their famous bread but he decided he will do that on his way back from Eket. He turned and looked at the sleeping Ekaete. He had not gotten the "action" he had hoped for because she said they were late already.
He purposefully entered a pot hole and she jerked out of her sleep.
"Oka Musi, well done oh" she said and made to go back to sleep.
"Haba Ekaete, na wa for you oh. You just dey sleep since wey we comot from Lagos".
"Oka Musi, i tail ju say i wash plenti cload las naid, oka mmadam no kree me slip... no fex (
Oga Musi, i told you that i washed a lot of clothes last night and Madam didnt let me sleep)" she replied in that accent he had come to love.
"Okay as you no come give me small show before we comot, do something nah". He smiled and licked his lips, whilst directing her attention to his crotch.
"Oka Musi, na wa for ju oh, ju tu laig dis tin (
Oga Musi, you like this thing a lot)". She smiled as she made for the rope holding his pants together. The first time she had done that to him, she knew she had him wrapped around her fingers for as long as she wanted.
Baba Musibau was shocked the first time Ekaete did this to him but the feeling he felt after that, knew no bounds. She had introduced him to a new world of sex. He knew then that it was true what they said about Calabar girls. He was finding it difficult to keep his eyes opened during the "action" and Ekaete seemed to be an expert in this.
He didn't know when he swerved off his lane, he didn't hear the horn blaring out from the bus coming in the opposite direction, he didn't see the bus run into a trailer and burst into flames but he remembered the crunching sound of metal when his car ran into a big truck and then he was no longer a part of this world.
The next day, the headlines read:
Benin-Ore road: Scores dead in multiple accidents, cause unknown.
